family photo —
the list.
Yay — it’s time to make your family photo list! Family photos can be the
easiest or the most stressful part of the
day, and which one it ends up being is entirely dependent on the
work you do beforehand. Type your combos right into this list — it saves as
you go. A few rules to make your life easier:
01
framed, or posted once & forgotten?
Ask: “is this going to be framed, or posted to Facebook once and never looked at again?” If it won’t be framed, consider grabbing it at the reception on a cell phone — so friends & family can post it right away and you don’t spend precious cocktail-hour time gathering the group.
02
permanent fixture, or new-ish plus-one?
If there’s any doubt about someone’s long-term status in the family, do the photo with and without them. List it back-to-back — everyone feels included, and you’ve got a version without them just in case.
03
use everyone’s first names
The single most important step. Write “Kayla & Rhonda,” not “bride & mom.” It takes the guessing out of “which mom?” and “am I in this one?” and makes everything so, so much faster. Trust us here.
How to use this: the next pages list the most common pairings we see. You might not have all of them — or you might have a whole bunch more — and that’s totally fine. They’re here to inspire you. Just type the real first names into each line you want.

a quick tip
- “just sisters,” “just brothers,” or “just the cousins” all work great here too — add any you want below the printed combos.
