welcome to the

weddingsuite

but the whole thing.

We’re so glad that you’re here.

We couldn’t be more excited or honored that you chose to work with us for your wedding. Dig into everything here, revisit it often, and use what we’ve collected from over a decade and 200+ weddings. This may be your first wedding rodeo, but it is not ours.

you’ve got questions

Yeah, we’ve got answers.

The big things couples ask us again and again, collected here so you can breathe a little easier before the timeline call.

What are ways that we can save money?

Flowers are a big one. Do them yourself, Pinterest is the best. Also, look into wood flowers. They are gorgeous, much cheaper, and last literally forever. We highly recommend Borrowed & Bloomed, a rent and return silk florist and former TLC bride. Other great ways include buffet-style food, skipping the open bar, DIY favors, or having a friend DJ from your phone.

I have 15 best friends. Should they all be in our wedding party?

That is totally up to you. We will say that the smaller the wedding party, the more efficiently photos go, the less stressed you will be, and the more you will be able to see everybody in your pictures. That said, it is your wedding. If you want 30 people in your party, we can do it. Just know we will need more photo time and it may be more chaotic.

Should we have an unplugged ceremony?

Yes. Yup. Please. Nothing breaks our heart more than a picture being ruined by someone sticking their camera or phone in the aisle and blocking a photo of you from our camera.

What if we get off schedule?

You will. It will happen. It is okay. We build in time just for that, so when it happens we do not have to sacrifice anything and we can still get your pictures accomplished.

What about my wedding pictures board on Pinterest?

We do not need to see it. We hope you chose us because you trust us. We have got this. If there is a pose you are dying to try, we will ask at the end of portraits, but other people's poses are hard to recreate because the location, your bodies, your outfits, and the light will never be the same.

Do you do table shots during dinner?

We do not spend dinner taking photos of guests at tables, candid or posed. Pictures of people eating food are not flattering, and people get annoyed. If there are specific groupings you want, add them to your family photo list under other and we can get those on the dance floor. We also use dinner to breathe, eat, switch batteries, and prepare for the reception.

Quick coaching before the day.

A couple of short watches for the things that tend to make the day smoother: family photos and first looks.

How to nail family photos

Should you do a first look?

seasons of love

Sunset is the boss.

The short version of when to ceremony, where sunset lands, and why mid-day shade matters. We’ll help with the real timeline, promise.

Spring

sunset moves fast

The sunset time from early spring to late spring differs drastically. Around March 1, sunset can be near 6:40PM, so a late afternoon ceremony can still leave time for outdoor photos.

By late April and May, sunset is closer to 9:00PM. If you want glowy sunset portraits, block off a little reception time for them.

Summer

the most flexible

Summer gives you the most timeline flexibility. With sunsets close to 9:30PM, it is easy to sneak away from the reception for sunset portraits.

Mid-day portraits are harder in summer because the light is harsh and it is hot. Shade helps a lot.

Fall

our favorite season

September and October are our first and truest love. Warm enough to not shiver, cool enough to not sweat.

Sunset starts getting earlier, usually in the 7–8PM range. If you want sunset photos, we often do those during dinner, which is not a problem, just something to know.

Winter

cozy, beautiful, tricky

Winter weddings are gorgeous, but sunset can dip to 5–6PM. Without a first look, it can be difficult to fit all portraits into daylight.

For November through February weddings, make sure your ceremony ends early enough to get photos done by 5:30PM — usually ceremony over by 3:30–4:00PM at the latest.

so you’re booked

Now what?

Pick your own pace. We’re as involved or as hands-off as you want us to be, and we’re always a text or email away.

First things first

Now that you’re officially part of the Lang Gang, the fun begins. We love for you to schedule a call within 1–2 months of booking so we can help you think through seasonal concerns and get a preliminary timeline in place. Schedule it the week you book, or wait till closer to two months out. Pick your own pace — we’re here for as much or as little as you need.

The middle

Most of our couples book 12–24 months out, and between booking and a couple months before the day there really isn’t much that we "have" to do. That said — we are always, ALWAYS here for you. Vent, brainstorm, send us a stupid TikTok (Kayla’s specialty). As involved or as hands-off as you want us.

The final details

We require your timeline locked within two months of your date. We’ll send a big questionnaire, then schedule a timeline call to put it all together. Also the moment to start your family photos list and gather your details.

One week out

It’s ALMOST HERE. The one-week mark is our final check-in to make sure your timeline is good, you don’t have any concerns, and your family photos list is in our hands. Really though — everything is done at this point. It’s time to party.

the afterparty

What happens after we leave.

The wedding will come and go faster than feels legal. Once we leave the party, we get to work right away.

24hr

Sneak peeks

You’ll get at least 25 pretty pictures in your inbox within 24 hours of us leaving the dance floor. We want you to post them everywhere. Just tag us please and we’ll be the happiest photographers alive.

3mo

Everything else

We back up your images four times, go through every single shot, select every keeper, hand-edit each one, and cut your film. Every deliverable — your full gallery and your wedding video — will be in your inbox by your 3-month anniversary.
